It is with great pleasure that we announce today’s public presentation by Dr. José Sá Fernandes and by Arch. Paulo Simões, of the future Parque Verde Ribeirinho de Loures, prepared by Rio Plano, within the scope of the World Youth Days.

The new 35 ha urban park will be on IP land, in the municipality of Loures, now used to host the Journeys, whose Preliminary Study and Execution Project were also the responsibility of Rio Plano.

Rio Plano thanks its fantastic team and consultants, GreenTool (specialties), Hortus (Rega) and João Duarte (3D), for their total dedication and passion with which they participated in this challenge.

The Requalification Project of the Monastery of Odivelas is based on an attitude of enhancing the historical heritage and cultural value associated with the Monastery and its surroundings.

Largo D. Dinis has already been the target of another requalification project, also carried out by Rio Plano.

The aim of the project is to respond to the new program that the City Hall intends for the building, with its recovery and rehabilitation, as well as to the needs of an increasingly demanding population.

It is imperative not to let the identity of each place and its “genius locci” die.

The extension of the Lycée Français Charles Lepierre was inaugurated today, 19 April 2023, as part of the international tender launched by AEFE (Agence pour l’enseignement français à l’étranger).

The inauguration was attended by Mrs Hélène Farnaud-Defromont, French Ambassador in Portugal, Mr Olivier Brochet, General Director of the AEFE and Mr Carlos Moedas, Mayor of Lisbon.

The project was prepared by the following team:

Rio Plano will be responsible for the requalification project at Praia dos Pescadores in Armação de Pêra, for the municipality of Silves.

For this new challenge, we have the participation of our consultants, Arq. Conceição Reis Costa from CRC project, for the various architecture projects, as well as Greentool, for the various specialties.

The project aims at the requalification of the public space of transition of the urban front and the beach, the implantation of new wooden walkways, with the connection to the existing ones, the construction of new support for fishing and maritime-tourism, of the new buildings of the Association of Fishermen and the Association of Non-Motorized Sports, as well as the functional and logistical organization of the entire beach for the different fishing, tourist and summer activities.

The work on Rossio Marquês de Pombal in Estremoz is completed and everyone involved in this huge challenge is to be congratulated.

Special thanks to the Municipality of Estremoz, for the opportunity it gave Rio Plano to be able to work in this beautiful Alentejo city and especially in this historic and emblematic space of enormous national importance.

The new Largo de Cacilhas was inaugurated today by the Municipality of Almada, whose project was the responsibility of the partnership between the atelier Sacramento Campos and Rio Plano.

Rio Plano is responsible for preparing the Preliminary Study and Execution Project for the implementation of the future World Youth Day 2023, in the riverside area of the municipality of Loures, with an area of approximately 670.000m2, in a strip that goes from the left bank of the Trancão River, occupying the land on both sides of the IC2 to the Tagus estuary area. The project was developed for the Municipality of Loures and took into account the directives and assumptions established in the Preliminary Program and General Layout Plan presented by the various entities involved in the process, whose role was crucial in the design of the entire intervention. Rio Plano counts with the consultancy of GreenTool for the various specialties of the process.

Rio Plano participated in the presentation on April 18, “An idea for Martim Moniz”, with a project to requalification the square’s landscape, developed with a multidisciplinary team.
